WELCOMING WOMEN TO BEAUTIFUL NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE
President's Message - January 2023
Happy New Year!
As we welcome in another year, let us take time to reflect on an interesting 2022. It was so great to see everyone. With 2021 behind us, we were all glad to adjust to the new "normal". As we approached the end of the summer the Executive Board began planning fall events and attempting to return to a somewhat routine schedule.
In October our trip to the Niagara Falls Museum, let us check out some of the history of our area. Our November Community Awareness Event brought over 20 local community groups together to share what they have to offer with all members of the Niagara-on-the-Lake area.
Our Festive Luncheon on December 7, saw a good turnout of members. The weather even co-operated with no snow and just a little rain. Our Program and Special Program Directors have been hard at work planning interesting monthly activities for the winter and spring.
The NOTL Newcomers Club is for women who live in the Ontario municipality of Niagara-on-the-Lake, which includes Old Town, Glendale, Queenston, St. Davids and Virgil. Our goal is to welcome women who are new to the town, and to help them meet one another and discover everything our unique town has to offer residents.
Membership is open to women who have recently moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) and also to women residents who have undergone a major change in their lives, such as retirement, and want to become more involved in local life.
As a social club our goal is to help women who are new to the Niagara-on-the-Lake area, or who have had a significant life change to make new friends and participate in fun social activities. Let's all hope that we will be able to have a busy year full of fun, social engagements and join a new interest group or participate in a new activity where we meet new people.
