As we welcome the warm days of summer, we hope you're enjoying all that this wonderful season has to offer. Summer is a time to get outdoors, stay active, connect with friends and family, and make lasting memories.
With today being Canada Day, it's also a great opportunity to celebrate our country's rich heritage, diverse communities, and the spirit of togetherness that makes Canada so special. Whether you're attending local festivities, enjoying a barbecue, watching fireworks, or simply relaxing with loved ones, we wish you a safe and enjoyable holiday.
We encourage everyone to take advantage of the many summer activities available in our community—walking, cycling, gardening, sports, festivals, and outdoor gatherings are all great ways to stay engaged and healthy.
We ended our year with another fabulous lunch at Queenston Heights restaurant. From the welcoming glass of bubbly to the sweet strawberry shortcake it was a truly lovely afternoon filled with good food, good conversation and much laughter.
While many of our interest groups take a break over the summer, several continue to meet and some venture further afield with the great weather. Remember to renew your membership in order to continue to participate in all of the activities.
The executive does not take a break and we will be meeting in July and August to prepare for the new year and planning events for our new year. Stay tuned!
Thank you all for being a valued part of our club. We look forward to seeing you throughout the summer and sharing many more enjoyable activities together.
Wishing you a happy, healthy, and safe summer. See you at our Welcome Back Meeting on September 16, 2026.
